Position Summary
Our MDU Project Manager position is a hands-on role to build engineered solutions to serve Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU) and public projects. In this role you will assist the sales team with presenting these solutions to secure Right of Entry (ROE) and deploy our network. This position is also responsible for delivering the engineered solution to the end user from the first phase of design through completion. Building positive contractor relationships, securing quality assurance, and providing customer satisfaction are key factors to be successful in this role. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedule projects with property management and coordinating access to individual units.  
  • Coordinate the construction of the project from start to finish. 
  • Track materials, control costs and meet project deadlines for each project. 
  • Deliver a certified network to the end users on time and within budget. 
  • Document all as-builts into Vetro and upload all optical levels to SharePoint. 
  • Work closely with the sales teams to identify customer needs and develop appropriate solutions for those needs. 
  • Present solutions with technical skill but with the ability to explain solutions to non-technical prospects and teammates. 
  • Engage in sales activities including visits, negotiations, and presentations as needed to provide technical support to sales team. 
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks.  
  • Work with technical and project teams to support technical design and execution of all new planned community initiatives, ensuring customer experience and implementation budget are met. 
  • Deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual homes passed target. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to construct small networks for MDU, and public spaces using off the shelf solutions to meet demand. 
  • Ability to present technical solutions to a non-technical audience. 
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically while delivering results in a high-change, fast-paced work environment. 
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with various teams across the organization to drive initiatives and results. 
  • Proven ability to deliver expected performance results and ability to drive to the next level. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, written, communication and presentation skills. 
  • Must be available and willing to respond to the needs of a 24/7 operation. 
  • Must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime after hours and weekends and remain in service during outages until resolved. 
  • Work independently using sound judgement on all projects. 
  • Ability to solve problems with little or no direction. 
  • Proficient in Excel and Word. 
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • Computer skills sufficient to learn new applications and systems. 
  • Use excellent hearing and listening skills to receive detailed information. 
  • Ability to drive during nighttime and adverse weather conditions. 
  • Must have valid driver’s license with a clear MVR. 
  • Must be able to pass standard background check and drug screening. 
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds repeatedly. 
  • Must be able and willing to climb ladders up to 28ft. 
  • Must be able and willing to work in adverse weather conditions. 
  • Maintain vehicle in a clean and professional manner. 
  • Dress in approved IQ Fiber clothing and arrive to work in a neat and professional manner. 
Previous Experience and Requirements
  • A minimum of five (5) years telecommunications construction experience preferred.  
  • 5+ years’ experience in OSP engineering and MDU solutions preferred. 
  • Experience with walk-out surveys, design, budgeting and creating BOM’s to include XGSPON. 
  • Experience managing contractor relationships and coordinating multi-site construction projects. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree preferred.
